Outstanding High School Education in Panama

At our high school in Ciudad del Saber, Clayton we believe in providing opportunities for the development of the whole child, both academically and socially.

One of our primary goals is to prepare students for success in college.  We do this by providing a rigorous curriculum that includes both honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Our private high school in Ciudad del Saber, Clayton enrolls approximately 280 students and we offer more than 20 different AP courses.

We aim to empower our students by providing them with opportunities in leadership and community service and for this reason we have over 20 student led clubs, each with a community service component. High school students are encouraged to start or join clubs of their interest and by graduation, each student must have 80 hours of community service. Students may also become members of the Dragon Council where they will learn leadership skills and how to work as a team.

By focusing on academics, leadership, and community, we are able to support our students to become well-rounded individuals and for those who need additional support, we offer learning labs for math and language arts.

Dragon Houses

We believe in developing a sense of community among our students through the use of houses. There are six houses in the high school:

  • Wind
  • Ice
  • Fire
  • Earth
  • Light
  • Iron

The student body is divided among the six houses and it is from these houses that the Dragon Council is selected.

Dragon Council

At high school level, a representative from each Dragon House forms the Dragon Student Council (DRACO) which plan and approve all High School events throughout the year.

They are responsible for coordinating all school Club activities, approving school club charters, planning and facilitating high school community building activities know as Dragon Days, and are consulted on a regular basis for matters concerning high school students.  They also plan and implement two all high school service days.
