Physical Education
SPARK is a Physical Education program dedicated to creating, implementing, and evaluating research-based programs that promote lifelong wellness. This program strives to improve the health of children, adolescents, and adults by disseminating evidence-based programs to teachers and recreation leaders serving Pre-K through to 12th-grade students.
SPARK’s main focus is on developing and refining physical skills and abilities while providing movement and activity that will form a foundation for lifelong participation in health-enhancing physical activity. SPARK’s activities guide the transition from skill-building, to refinement, with increasing opportunities for application.
