We are delighted that you are interested in your child joining Balboa Academy. We provide a personalized admissions process to make your experience as simple as possible at every step of the way, and our Admissions Team will provide support should you need it.

To get started, please complete the Enquiry Form. Once we have received this, we will contact you to arrange a visit to our school campus.

Application Form

Complete Balboa Academy’s application online and make the payment for the application and evaluation ($150) with the link provided.

Our Admissions Office will contact you via email to confirm receipt of documents and inform you if any further information is required to complete the application.

Please include the following with your child’s application:

• Copy of child’s passport 
• Copy of child’s birth certificate 
• Copy of child’s Immunization Records or our Immunization Form filled out by your child’s pediatrician. 
• Copy of both parents passports 
• Copy of all academic records including current school year’s grades

(Note: Balboa Academy accepts copies in English or Spanish. *Panama’s Ministry of Education (MEDUCA) will require originals translated into Spanish by a notarized translator in Panama if records are not in Spanish.)

Evaluation and Interview

Our Admissions Team will set up an appointment for an in-person  or virtual evaluation and interview. 
After the evaluation and receipt of all application documents, the Admissions Committee will review the candidate´s information and make a decision. 

Evaluation Process
Students invited for an evaluation will schedule a date and time with one of our Educational Specialists. Our Preschool evaluation has a duration of approximately 30 minutes and covers such concepts as shapes, letters, and numbers. The Kindergarten to 12th grade evaluation has a duration of approximately one hour and covers reading, writing, and arithmetic. The evaluation is not an English proficiency test but is carried out entirely in English. 

Offer Letter

Balboa Academy’s Admissions Committee will review complete applications for a final decision within 10 calendar days. Students may be accepted without conditions, accepted with conditions, denied, or placed on our waiting list. If candidates are accepted, they will be sent a formal offer letter.
